POSITION SUMMARY:

First Atlantic Health care’s Maine State Approved 12 week class teaches you the principles of providing safe client care and becoming a valuable part of the healthcare group. This amazing CNA training opportunity is used complimentary to future workers of First Atlantic HealthCare facilities.

IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS:

To be effective in a student CNA function, people need to be able to carry out each essential responsibility.

  • Happy to find out the understanding and skills required to offer fundamental nursing care under the direction of a certified nurse.
  • Capable of entering into a medical group that offers caring and individualized hands-on care to residents.
  • Have the physical and psychological health necessary to carry out CNA duties- lifting, strolling, flexing, pushing, pulling and the ability to be client and polite.
  • Have the spoken and written interaction skills to securely follow instructions, explain the care you will provide, follow composed care plans, and document the care given.
  • Should be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the 9th Grade Level.

SKILLS and CAPABILITIES:

Experience: None needed; we are happy to supply CNA training to certified applicants.

Computer Skills: Need to be able communicate our computer-based Electronic Medical Record.

Prerequisites: Be at least 18 years of age with High School Diploma or comparable. Take the CASAS Reading Understanding Assessment-Level D (this screening is totally free and set up as part of the application procedure).

Presence: Should dedicate to meeting the180- hour State of Maine participation requirements for CNA certification: 110 hours of classroom/lab training and 70 hours of medical training.

Course entrance rests upon getting outstanding referrals, passing the Maine State Background Examine and completing an application package.
