A Frightening Roadway to Liberty is the narrative of Lucy Mayer, whose household made it through in Hungary under the Nazis, just to be gotten into by Russia after the war. My story starts in 1938 in the peacetime of my youth in Budapest, Hungary.

Ultimately, Hungary had adequate and an uprising started in1956 The Russian Army conquered the Hungarian Transformation, however it offered a chance for my sibling, Steve, and I to get away. We risked our lives and left our household behind, not even able to bid farewell.
It was a tough journey, however we were elated to get here in the U.S.A. Without any cash and just the clothing on our backs, we understood it would be tough to start our brand-new lives in America, however a minimum of we had flexibility!
