The Philadelphia 76 ers return house to the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday to play host to the Houston Firecrackers and they will welcome the return of half of their star duo, however they will be missing out on the other half.

Joel Embiid will return on Wednesday after missing out on Monday’s loss to the Utah Jazz with a back concern, but Ben Simmons will miss out on the video game with a health problem.

” Joel’s excellent, Ben’s out,” stated coach Doc Rivers. “Simply a stomach flu I think it is.”

Considering the current environment the world discovers itself in, one can’t help but wonder if any person getting sick has something to do with the worldwide COVID pandemic. Rivers rapidly validated that it is not COVID as he and the team needed to deal with that in early January.

” Yeah,” said Rivers.

The Sixers will be seeking to put an end to a 3-game losing skid with tipoff set for 7: 30 p.m. EST. Without Simmons on the protective end, it will be difficult to include an explosive Rockets squad.
