New Mexico Chief Procurement Officer (CPO)
Accreditation and Recertification Processes
To make your “CPO” Certification:
NM EDGE provides NM Public Purchasing Foundation Classes and Culminating Test (6 classes + test) on a quarterly basis (February, April, July, and October) in Albuquerque. Extra offerings might be included as need warrants.
Upon effective conclusion of the classes and a passing rating of 60% on the culminating test, your name will be sent out to State Purchasing from which your accreditation will be released.
To recertify:
Recertification is needed (per statute 13.1-95.2 D) every 2 years (based upon the month of preliminary accreditation).
2 alternatives for finishing preliminary (1st) recertification classes:
· NMPPA Conference Recertification Track (consisted of in the expense of conference participation) when offered
· NM EDGE Recertification Classes (2 classes) provided quarterly (February, April, July, and October) in Albuquerque and periodically in Las Cruces utilizing a Live-Online format.
