Jen Psaki tries to clarify Joe Biden's 'Neanderthal' slam on GOP govs raising Covid mandates

Previously this week after it was revealed that Texas and Mississippi would be lifting Covid-19 mandates and restrictions, the country’s uniter-in-chief Joe Biden stated this about those states’ governors:

Today while speaking to press reporters, Jen Psaki didn’t pledge to circle back, but rather tried to clarify Biden’s comment:

Jen Psaki makes clear that Biden wasn’t straight calling anyone a Neanderthal– he was stating they were imitating one.

Does that clear things up? Biden has in the previous revealed an affinity for utilizing the word Neanderthal to describe certain political challengers.
