Evaluation of Standard Knowledge

Abstract: The procedures of the Congress of Nutrition in Mexico (1972) are presented in 4 basic categories: review of fundamental understanding and present research study; clinical and epidemiological elements of poor nutrition, focusing on early life and mothers; advances of food technology and their worldwide ramifications; and, useful methods of approaching the dietary issues which still face the world. The literature examines cover such topics as the body’s adjustment to poor nutrition, developing universal nutrition standards, understanding the roles of specific nutrients, and dietary aspects in aging, weight problems, alcoholism and atherosclerosis. The concluding section efaluates metropolitan, nationwide and international nutrition problems, neighborhood programs, food enrichment, nutrition education and goals, and food policy.
