This Nurse Aide/ Assistant program will prepare trainees for the CNA New York State (NYS) Nursing Home Nurse Aide Competency Examination in order to work as an entry-level Nurse Aide/Assistant (CNA) on a health care group in different nursing homes/residential healthcare centers and medical facilities. This course supplies training in basic nursing abilities and theory and is developed to satisfy the New York State Department of Health curriculum requirements while preparing the trainee for the NYS Nurse Aide Certification Examination. The course consists of both theory and hands-on medical training in addition to an externship in a Residential Health Care Facility (RHCF).
