Licensed Nursing Assistants (CNA) who work as Med Techs or Qualified Medication Aides (MQA) are NOT exempt from Malpractice claims. Medical Error is now the Third-Leading Cause of Death in the U.S.

What this video to get more information about SB 558 and what CNAs must understand prior to ending up being a QMA or Med Tech.

Senate Bill 558 produces a brand-new classification of “competent medication assistant” (QMA) for qualified nursing assistants (CNA) who operate in an assisted living home and fulfill defined licensure and training requirements. The costs permits an assisted living home to license a signed up nurse (REGISTERED NURSE) working in the retirement home to hand over medication administration to a QMA who is working under the direct guidance of the registered nurse.
