Members of the Delaware National Guard working as Certified Nursing Assistants in Delaware long-lasting care centers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic are getting checkouts from leaders of the Division of Health Care Quality (DHCQ) to thank them for their service. These soldiers and airmen took a CNA training course at Delaware Tech that would generally take 8 to 10 weeks however was condensed into a two-week format to get much-needed aid to long-lasting care centers as rapidly as possible. They then had to pass an examination to start working as CNAs, assisting fill open positions and shifts of staffmembers who were out ill with COVID. DHCQ Director Corinna Getchell and Deputy Director Denise Elliott are checkingout each of the areas Guard members are working and providing them with certificates of gratitude and personally thanking them for taking on this task at a time of such terrific requirement.
