The Nursing Assistant Trainee is responsible for implementing the appropriate plan of care required under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse.
Responsibilities
Collects initial and ongoing data on all patients and reports the condition and changes to the RN or LPN. Communicates and interacts with patients, families, and other health team members.
Qualifications
Qualifications Required
- Must currently be enrolled and attending the State CNA/NAR Training Program.
- Must be eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity pending successful completion of training.
- If the trainee does not pass the school testing, they are not eligible to apply to the State Registry and will no longer be able to work in this position in the facility. The training and testing must be completed within 120 days.
Qualifications Preferred
- Experience in hospital or nursing home setting.
- CPR certified.
