A: After the program is finished can you start work immediately?
B: I still had to take a competency exam, which is given by the Department of Health as well. Once I’m certified, I can start applying to jobs and working as a nurse aide.
A: Are certificates the same as licenses?
B: They aren’t. Each state has a different certification exam offered by a governing body, usually that state’s department of health.
